Boris Johnson has announced plans for a multi-million pound green initiative to help improve the capital's low-carbon economy.
The Fund aims to provide a "financing framework" to help businesses across London reduce their carbon output and keep fuel costs down.
Decentralised energy and new waste disposal technology initiatives are also expected to benefit from the investment, as well as the planning and development of low-carbon infrastructure.
In response to the proposals, Martin Powell, director of project delivery at the London Development Agency (LDA), said: "The LDA is developing a range of schemes to unlock the potential carbon savings available to organisations and business operating in the capital.
"It is hoped that this green fund will act as a catalyst for organisations to retrofit their building stock, saving on business costs and carbon emissions."
The mayor has set a goal of reducing London's carbon emissions by 60 per cent before 2025.
